A problem that could occur during group work is either one or two people doing all of the work. A way this can be avoided is that everybody have a section they have to complete to make sure everybody is involved.
My problem with group work is when I get into a group with people that I don't like. When this happens, I can't work efficiently on the project. This, in turn, would probably cause me to get a bad grade.
Group work sometimes means that one person does all the work while the others don't do anything. To avoid this then you should assign different roles within the group and they be graded on their work.
Well, being the introvert that I naturally am, the main problem in group work is that I have to actually work in a group. With people. Which is horrible, and there is no way to make it any better because its impossible to like being around people.
Group work can become problematic when some members don't pull their own weight, or one person decides to take over. The work should be divided evenly between members to maximize productivity.
problems with group work is that people tend to not stay on task, they start talking about other things rather than what we were working on. a way to fix this is by making sure that you are focused on what you need to be.
The problem with group work is that the members do not always make equal contributions to the project. This makes one or two group members doing more work than the other members of the group. The other problem with group work is that it is hard to keep the group on task. One is smart, but with collaboration we become brilliant. This is true but the group must stay on task during the project.
Problems with group work are: not cooperating, some people not contributing, and arguments. Ways to avoid these issues are by making a plan for your group and assigning specific responsibilities.
Group work can be more problematic simply because when in groups it is easier to get off task and distracted. It can be easily avoided though if all students cooperate and work efficiently.
My problem for with group work is that everyone doesn't pull their own wieght. Work could be divided evenly between members so it doesn't have to be one person doing all of it.
My problem with group work is when I get put in a group with people I don't like or don't know very well. I like to work people that I can have fun with and still get the work done.
There are multiple problems when it comes to group work. Someone could do all the work, you can be easily distracted, someone may want to be the "leader" when everyone wants to have a say. There are so many things that could go wrong in group work. These problems could be avoided if everyone keeps it fun and everyone participates in an equal effort to get the work done; that is the only way to efficiently create quality work.
I'm not a fan of working with other people. I'd rather do an independent project. I always have to take control. I guess it's because I have to be the leader so my opinion is heard. I'm not really sure, but being in control also seems to mean that you do all the work. Which is usually the case, unless you're in a group with friends because then it's not weird or rude to yell at them if they haven't done their share.
I think the problem with working in groups is that it gets to loud in the room. I think the solution with this is that we should stay silent and just use chat on the google doc or presentation to communicate.
It may be just me, but I think it gets loud and it annoys the bejesus out of me.
The problem with group work is the focus within the group. Depending on the people, some groups will get nothing done because they aren't responsible enough to finish the assignment before goofing off. On the other hand, group work can lead to unequal work distribution. This means that even though the work gets completed, one person is responsible for all of the work. This is not beneficial to the class because fewer students understand the material completely due to the fact that the responsibility was shouldered on one person.
Group work can be a problem when your group doesn't have a strong work ethic. This can be solved when we make a list of work for each person and work together.
The biggest problem I have with group is that I seem to be doing most of the work. It hasn't really happened in this class, though. In my 3rd period, however, we just got done with a "group" project but I did about 95% of the work. I really hate when this happens. To avoid this problem though we could be graded by how we work as a group but also as an individual. I usually do all the work so with this method the other people wouldn't get a good grade that they didn't earn. But like I said, it really hasn't happened to me before in this class.
The biggest problem with group work is people tend to get off task and start talking about irrelevant things. I'm not sure there's any way to solve this issue because the majority of teenagers are naturally talkative. But, making sure everyone is on topic and on task is the first way to get the job done.
I think group work could be a problem if you do not get along with the people in your group. Because instead of working together and getting work done, you're focusing on how to destroy one another.
the problem could be that everyone talks to each other and how other people try to take over the whole project we could stop this by not talking and not taking over the whole project
My problems with groupwork are that most of the time, I get paired with somebody that I don't get along with. Then we start to have disagreements, and then I end up getting a bad grade on the project!
Problems with group work is that sometimes certain group members get trapped into doing all the work. To avoid this problem the group should assign specific roles to each group member to ensure that everyone is contributing.
One person normally does most of the work and people usually get off topic really easily. You can avoid this by giving each person a specific job, and being the accountable person that keeps people on topic. Group work often tends to be a hit or miss situation. Either you have it or you don't. This can be avoided by paying attention, and sharing the knowledge you have with you peers.
Some of the problems with group work include, putting all the work on one person and them goofy off. Also not getting along with anyone at all. Being negative Nancy over the whole situation because you aren't in the group with all your friends. Positives of group work include, actually working with each other, learning how people do their work and then you can do it like them.
problems with group work is that some group members will get full credit when they actually did nothing at all. Most of the time there is always one person that does all of the work while the others just sit around and talk the whole time. To solve this problem each group member should be provided a certain task. When everyone is done with their particular part each member should have to sign a sheet to clarify which part they did and the other group members should have to sign it also as a witness.
Most people don't work well in groups because most people leave it up to one person to do all of the work but then you have others where they all contribute to the group. So, to avoid this problem you could like check on the groups to make sure they are actually contributing.
Problems with group work is that some members get excited about being paired with the smart people because, "They'll do all of the work, sweet!" and it's not fair to the person left doing all of the work because everyone is getting credit for work that was only theirs (it might as well have just been an individual assignment because no one else contributed). This can be avoided by teachers just giving individualized work and students picking their partners and working with people they know will put in just as much effort as them.
When I do group work the only problems I've run across have been goofing off and having 1 person do all the work. The way that this has been prevented would be to work with like minded people. I tend to goof off and work so when we got a bunch of people the same way you get the best of both world while getting your work done.
A problem I encounter with group work is not everyone in your group works. Some people do but others dont. You might could tell the teacher or just try to tell them that they need to work.
Problems with group work is having a group of people who all have the same ideas and there is nothing creative happening. In life skills last year, we took a test to determine our "true colors" and then there was a person from each color in each group. Golds were mostly the leaders, oranges were outgoing, blues were mediating, and greens were deep thinkers. When we varied in colors, we had more productivity in group work.
Group work usually ends up being just one person doing all the work and everyone goofing off, or everyone goofing off. This can be prevented if certain assignments in the group work were assigned to a specific person; if that piece of the assignment isn't done then the person that did not do their part should get consequences instead of the people in the same group that did all their work.
problems that i have faced was time wasted and not everyone doing something, easily distracting because most of the time youre with people you like. to stop it find someone that you can get along with and also get work done with.
I like group work depending on what we're doing in class. Absolutely hate when only one person does the whole project on their own. I can be lazy sometimes, but what helps is staying on task.
The problem with group work, is that time gets wasted, and you get easily distracted because you are with all of your friends, and it leads to talking about something totally different. You can make this problem change by giving everyone something to do, and a certain amount of time to do it.
Problems with group work I have encountered are that people get off task easily and this results in work not being completed. A problem that I see all the time is that one person usually gets most of the work pushed onto them and they end up doing almost all of the work. To ensure these problems don't occur, I can make sure we all focus and remember what needs to be done in the group. We can split up the group work to make sure everyone is contributing.
Problems with group work are never ending. One person always ends up doing all of the work. Most of the time, that is me. I can't not let stuff get done; it is just not in my nature. Another problem with group work is getting along with others. I always do my best to coincide and work peacefully, but some people refuse to cooperate. The most annoying thing is when someone won't try. Group work should be divided evenly and everyone should play an equal role in making the final product. Group work is great when all members try and do things to the best of their ability. To ensure this happens, all students should try their best; that's the only fulfilling solution.
Everyone does not always work and their is not always the same amount of effort given by each person. This can be avoided by you checking on the groups to see that everyone contributed in some way. Sometimes it might not be able to be equal depending on the parts their are.
With group work sometimes you have more then one person who wants to step up and be the leader. With this creates conflict between the two, especially when they don't agree on the same thing. This happens a lot when mom tells my brothers and I to clean the house while she's gone and Joseph and I tend to dispute over who does what because we both want to be in charge. This can simply be resolved by Joseph realizing I should be in charge because I know what I'm doing and I am the oldest.
well normally when im in a group with my friends we go crazy and talk bout pretty much everything else except the project. then we do the project in like the last five mins its suppose to be done but i've been trying not to get so off task its recently been working sorta. speaking of getting off task i haven't been lately how weird is that for my im normally like the first one off and today i've turned in everything so i don't have any home work its weird. lol @ me. im to cool but ill still do my school work. haha sounded better in my head. im getting of task but im not because it totally relates to the subject.
Some problems that I've encountered in most group experiences are that some want to let other people in the group do all the work and they just want to sit back and chill until it's time to present. This can be avoided by having assigned task at the very beginning of the project to give everyone something specifically that they are responsible for.
Biggest problem with working in groups is the teacher thinks they know what people you should work with. 75% of the time I'm put within a group of people who do not like me which causes problems with getting work done and assigning parts and makes for an overall uncomfortable experiences.
There are many problems with group. One person does all the work or no one does any work, you're goofing off because you're with your friends or you get no work done because you don't like/get along with anyone in your group, taking to much, no corporation, one person is bossy and controls everything, or no one wants to do their part.
Specifically utilizing Google Drive, group work becomes an issue when creating a presentation (A presentation is most likely being created if group work is required). It's an issue because not everyone can work on the same slide at once. If multiple people do try to work on the same slide at once, it becomes really frustrating and hectic and very little gets done because you are trying to help but also not be a nuisance at the same time. Besides this, I'm sure we have all felt that pressure of being on the same slide as someone else; You see their little icon on the same slide as you're working on and you can feel them staring you down. Every text box you create. Every word you type. Every letter. Every. Single. Keystroke. They are watching you. So you start getting nervous and typing works like chorophsue instead of chlorophyll and, man, its just so much anxiety.
In middle school I was always seen as one of the smarter kids in my class. There were several of us. Anyways, at the mere mention of a group project heads of classmates would turn and stare down the smarter kids trying to claim them so they would be in their group. That really sucks most of the time though because then that specific person did most of the work in fear that it wouldn't get done if they didn't. That's a huge problem because then the work load is uneven and all the pressure is piled upon a single person.
When doing group work there are many possibilities. Group members can choose to not do their work and you are stuck trying to pull the project together alone. You could get put into a group with people you don't get along with. You could get put into a group you get along with too well. You could have group members get sick and end up missing an essential component of your project. You could get struck by lightning. You could get eaten by a dinosaur. You could get sucked up into a tornado. You could be run over by a monster truck. You could be attacked by a mime with an imaginary pet shark. All of these are possibilities.
The problem with group work is when people are too serious about the assignment. It takes all the fun out of working with friends.
