Being 16 I will never forget the feeling of being able to play sports. Most adults as in our parents who aren't professional athletes aren't able to fully play a sport anymore. I will always remember how great it feels because it's all I ever do and every time I play a sport I never get tired of it and will always want to continue to play.
Something I will never forget about being this age is the stress and craziness of being a teenager, high school, and how tiring it is.I will never forget all the heartbreak I've felt at this age either. You give your all to people, and sometimes it just doesn't work out. Adults have forgotten it because it's not a good memory. Waking up in the morning to do tests and take notes is not something any adult wants to remember, and neither is a bad relationship.
They have forgotten about it because so many wonderful and stress things have happen between then and now. Plus they are adults they learn to forget things at a very young age and they have kids to worry about and not the age of now or then for them.
I will never forget what it's like being at this age, what's most important to us now like dating, or worrying about grades, or trying to do your best at anything you can. I won't forget this because i know my kids will go through this stage and they need the support from me. I say this because sometimes my parents forget this.
I won't forget being stressed about all the things that I've done that are involved with school. Adult's may not remember this feeling where they are now because they haven't felt the stress of school work in a long time or have experienced an even greater amount of stress through work or something else.
the one thing that i am sure i will never forget is getting my first car or going to prom. most adults that have talked to me about it have not forgot about getting their first car or they're hideous hairdos that they wore to prom. but a lot of the times adults forget about what it was like turning 16 and being this age because they have had much bigger and more important events that have happened as they got older that they tend to forget about being 16. Things like getting married, having their first kid, and buying a house. Bigger and more important things happen as you get older so you tend to forget about the littler things such as being 16.
Something that I am absolutely sure I will never forget about being this age is the new freedom and oppurunties to do different things. Adults have foregotten this because they have had this experience and have grow out of it. With the stress and the responsiblities that they have it seems to be that they forget the freedom they once had.
The one thing that I will never forget about being this age, is the Irrawaddy Dolphin. I could never forget that for it has been engraved into my mind from the amazing images from it, and all the times Austin has spoken about its fantasticness. Although it is so amazing, the reason most adults have forgotten about the Irrawaddy is because that their minds can no longer handle the amount of mind-blowingness that is the Irrawady.
The thing that I am sure of that I will never forget about being this age is the mindset I have. At this age we don't think like adults. We are a bit reckless and wild. That's not a bad thing but adults don't understand. They always say, "I was a teenager once, I know what you're going through." However what they don't remember is that they grew up in a different generation. This generation is MUCH different then the generation and time that they grew up in? I mean imagine this. They didn't have cell phones and weren't attached to them. They didn't have all of these things that we have today. Every generation acts different and their emotions are different. They think they know what we are going through but they don't. That's what they forget.
I will never forget playing sports. My parents have played them but will probably never play as good as they did and they know that now and they just give up on them. I will never forget the feeling of playing sports, and I will never forget the people that I played with.
When I get older I'll never forget what it is like to have fun and be a kid. I think adults just forget about having fun because they haven't been a kid in a loooooooooooooong time.
Something I won't forget about this being this age is the amount of work, stress, and high expectations. As an adult I want to be able to understand what my kids are going through and how I can help them. It seems like most adults have forgotten about this just because they continue to push. My mom has horribly high expectations and doesn't let me do much and teacher give homework that adds to the stress of getting everything done in one night.
One thing that I will never forget about this age is how much weight I have lost. In about a year I've lost about 80 pounds and I'm still losing weight. I will never forget this because it has made such a big difference in my life. Another thing that I will never forget, even though it hasn't happened yet, will be the Rugged Manic. It is a 5k race but with lots of hills, mud and obstacles. The hills are actual skiing slopes so they are really steep. There's mud every where and there's no way that I'm not going to get dirty. Some of the obstacles including jumping over walls, climbing ropes, swimming through mud under barbed wire and jumping over a fire pit.
Honestly at this point in time I haven't really had an extraordinary moment that I think I will never forget. I met some of my best friends this year that's something, if I was 16 I would say getting my permit but I'm still only 15 so I can't say that. I have to choose meeting my friends for this particular prompt. Perhaps adults forget meeting friends because they have too many other great memories together.
I will remember my dance competitions and my dance team because they are a huge part of my life. It occupies most of my time and provides both incredible stress and amazing rewards. I will also remember how many great friends I have. I think a lot of adults forget about their teen years because they have so much other stuff that happens and we can't remember everything.
I'll never forget about how evil society is today. With the bullying and how society can never be happy, it makes the world very cruel. If you're skinny, you're anorexic, but if you gain any weight, you're fat. That's how society is today and it's awful. Most adults don't exactly deal with drama like that anymore because they're done with high school where most of the drama occurs. I will always remember how evil this society is because I have been a victim of it and it sucks. I got the scars to prove it.
The thing that I will never forget is that Irrawaddy is love, Irrawaddy is life. How will I ever forget the meaning of life, which is the Great Irrawaddy. Adults have forgotten it because they were not worthy enough to receive the love of the Irrawaddy as we have. We must remember that the Irrawaddy will always be magnificent.
Something i want to be sure about when i'm older is to never forget passion. Each person has there our gifts but what's the point if there is no passion. For me my passion is performing arts because I've been doing this since 5th grade. This year was especially great for performing arts because I've gotten plenty of solos in choir, learned i could beat box, and gotten the lead role. I've had a lead role before and i could always sing but i keep getting told on my improvement. People can forget passion because they grow up and forget what it's like to be a kid or they forget to have fun besides adult life.
Teenagers are actually fairly intelligent, and have a lot to bring to the table. While some may be a bit ignorant, there are many who understand how the world works, and how to behave like a normal American citizen. Teenagers are not little kids who need constant surveillance, nor are they to be dismissed. Adults seem to have forgotten this, seeing as how they often look down upon adolescents, and ignore their abilities, and coddle them as though they are fragile toddlers.
I will remember the sports that I played because I love these sports. Adults do not remember this because they sometimes do not care as much about their younger years.
I will remember the sports that I played because I love these sports. Adults do not remember this because they sometimes do not care as much about their younger years.
I will remember the sports that I played because I love these sports. Adults do not remember this because they sometimes do not care as much about their younger years.
I will never forget being able to play sports with a whole team. Being able to stay after school at any time, to experience anything I want to. To watch as people change in just four years.
The thing I won't forget about being this age is how to be myself. Teenagers usually don't think like adults and are usually rebellious and wild at times. Adults say that they were like us once, but it has been too long they they don't truly understand. Teenagers need to find themselves at this age and need to proclaim who they are without others holding them back. Adults will never understand this because they have forgotten what it's like to be us.
Something I will never forget about being 16, is the feeling of stepping onto the tennis court and just clearing my mind of everything. Most adults didn't play tennis because it wasn't a popular sport back then. A lot of adults remember more important things.
Being 16, I will never forget this crazy sophomore year! So far, it's been the most exciting and weirdest year in my whole time being in school. The reason why most adults have forgotten this time is because the acetylcholine in their brain weakens which leads to alzheimer's.
I will never for get is the stress and struggle of high school. Adults don't know how much harder it is now a days, or don't remember it all. Adults often just tell their kids "get over it", "its not that bad', and don't help their kids in any way
Ill never forget the hopes and dreams I've had as a kid. Most adults just kind of settle for a boring stay at home life. I want to go out in the world and experience new things. While you're stuck in an office all day ill be living life to the fullest.
I will never forget the day that I got my permit, it was on my birthday. I honestly don't think that my mum would forget it because she was there waiting for me to get done with the test and when the guy told me that I passed and to go through the doors to get my picture taken was the best. I came out of the doors and smiled the whole way.
I will never forget about my dreams that i would try to accomplish as a kid. But also i would never forget about all of the struggles that i would have throughout highschool. Maybe the reason that adults might of forgot it because they might of not have struggled or had big dreams throughout there childhood life. Also mostly they wouldn't have struggled due to because they probably had really easy classes.
I'll never forget how mentally exhausting high school is. Adults forget about it because they tend to be more concerned with the then and now for themselves. It's hard to put yourself in other people's shoes.
I will never forget about this age because I've had more fun this year than any other year. Plus, this is the year I get to drive on my own, which is such a big stepping stone. I don't think adults of forgotten about this age, but I believe they've forgotten how to live this age again. As you grow up, you don't have time to really do anything but work, provide for your family, etc.
I will not forget the fun times in high school that I have had and all the friends I have made. I wont forget the times when I didn't have to pay bills or worry about kids or worry about how much money I need to survive. I feel like adults forget this because they are to stressed about what is going on in life to worry about it.
I will never forget how scared I am of the future. I'll never forget the worries and troubles I went through because those are the things that made me the way I am and what drives me to want to do and be better. I think adults forget about these things because it either didn't help make them who they are or they're blinded by how great or bad everything is at this time.
I will never forget all the stress high school has caused. All the homework and trying to keep friends and wasting my teenage years trying to get good grades and doing chores after school. Most adults don't remember because they had an easier time. They didn't spend nearly as much time on homework and had more siblings to split chores with.
I'll never forget the stress that high school can cause. Middle school didn't seem nearly as demanding. Parents always talk about busting their butts at work and I'm not challenging that idea at all. I'm just saying that many of us bust our butts too. We have deadlines and tasks that need to be completed daily, just like people who work. Its not always as physically demanding as a career but it is just as mentally demanding. School can get stressful. Our grades are like adults paycheck. They're vital to our future and what we plan on doing with it. Then we, as students, also have to worry about teachers similar to how adults worry about bosses. It doesn't seem like my parents truly understand how stressful school can get. I know it must have been semi stressful for them too but its like they forgot. I don't think I'll ever forget the
Something I will never forget is how I wanted to be treated as a teenager. I think it's important to be happy and if teenagers are treated more like an adult rather than a child that they would be more optimistic about many things. I think no teenager is the same and so you will have to get to know that person.
I will never forget the way that I view the world now. If my perspective is to change in the future, I will be sure that I always remember to think about the fact that I used to see things differently. The way people see things is always changing. Adults always say, "I was a kid once too, but..." Adults need to think about what they used to see when they heard, talked about, and did things.
A 16 year old will never forget their first heart break, but it gets better. Adults have forgotten how big every little thing seems to a 16 year old and that they just want to have fun. Fun is lost in a lot of adults. They don't understand why you'd want to leave at midnight to hang with friends or make at stop to Taco Bell. It doesn't really make sense, but to a teenager..it doesn't matter. There are some things a 16 year old can learn and some things an adult can relearn too.
Something I will never forget about being 15 is all the responsibilities I had and also all the opportunities that came along with it. I have grown so much over this past year and have done things that originally I never would have done. FFA has opened so many of these opportunities for me and this is the reason why FFA is something I will never forget. I will never forget doing the things I was once afraid of doing and now I can do with ease. Overall, I will not forget high school. Although, I think every adult remembers their high school experience, some may have forgotten because they didn't enjoy it or they don't want to remember it.
Being 16 I will not forget my sophomore year of softball. I loved my freshman year but this past year I've grew closer to my teammates. My dad is pretty strict on his rules and my attitude. After a game if i'm a little upset with how I played my dad thinks I can just all of a sudden shake it off and learn from it but I do get up set and he played sports so I don't see how he forgot what's like to want to be the best.
I will never forget about how somethings just feel like such a big deal. I want to grow up and look back on the things that I stress about now and remember how awful and horrible they seemed at the time.
The one thing I will never forget about this age is how sensitive people are. We are all trying to find ourselves at this age. Often at 16, everyone is so wrapped up in what other's think about them. People are very hateful. They believe that clawing others down will somehow put them on the top, but it won't. There is drama, people get excited over stupid things, fights that we actually witness are the height of our week. We want to be the best, we want people to be jealous of us, and we don't care what we have to do to get where we want (especially if it has no rationale behind it whatsoever.) Some adults still get caught up in this, but those who have forgotten and moved on have been hurt enough to understand that the only way to get to the top is to lift others up with you on the way there.
I will never forget this age. Sophomore year has been great, and I've learned so much in my life, and that is to not let anyone bring you down and not to let them work all over you. That you must always be a foot ahead of everyone else, and that you are worth more than you think! "Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond to it."
One thing I'll never forget about being this age is living for the moment. We live and every little thing gets dramaticized into a huge event. Then in hindsight, it is always completely overexaggerated. Adults forget how we make everything so complicated just like they used to when they lived for the day.
I will never forget the drive I had to succeed. The desire I feel to become something. I will never forget the pressure I place on myself to be the best I can be. I will never forget these things because it is what will push me to become what I will become. Adults may not remember things like this because they didn't see high school as important as I see it. They may not have viewed it as the walkway to the rest of their life: they didn't know how much it mattered. Adults also didn't have the focus on college and career readiness as we do at Thomas Nelson. This is one of the most important times of my lives; I will not fail to remember that later on in my life.
I'll always remember this squirrel that apparently committed suicide over the weekend. I'm sitting on Christian's back porch telling her this story and she was being normal until this squirrel hopped out of nowhere and fell to the ground. She was like "OH MY GOD A SQUIRREL!" and i'm being sarcastic as humanly possible like "Oh God! A squirrel?? No way! Those are the darndest little rodents!" We went on about that squirrel for ever.
I'll never forget where I came from and how much God has brought me through things throughout my life in Colorado and Kentucky. A lot of people tend to make small situations/problems larger than they are, or sometimes people seem overwhelmed with big problems. One thing I'll never forget will be no matter how big or small a tough time is, God will get me through it and he has a plan for my life. All I have to do is pick my goals and let God direct my steps in whatever I do, instead a lot of people worry about the unknown and let it eat at them.
Being 16 I will never forget the feeling of being able to play sports. Most adults as in our parents who aren't professional athletes aren't able to fully play a sport anymore. I will always remember how great it feels because it's all I ever do and every time I play a sport I never get tired of it and will always want to continue to play.

I will never forget doing the things I was once afraid of doing and now I can do with ease. Overall, I will not forget high school. Although, I think every adult remembers their high school experience, some may have forgotten because they didn't enjoy it or they don't want to remember it.
ReplyDeleteBeing 16 I will not forget my sophomore year of softball.
ReplyDeleteI will never forget about how somethings just feel like such a big deal. I want to grow up and look back on the things that I stress about now and remember how awful and horrible they seemed at the time.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I will never forget about this age is how sensitive people are.
ReplyDeleteI will never forget this age. Sophomore year has been great, and I've learned so much in my life, and that is to not let anyone bring you down and not to let them work all over you. That you must always be a foot ahead of everyone else, and that you are worth more than you think! "Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond to it."
ReplyDeleteOne thing I'll never forget about being this age is living for the moment. We live and every little thing gets dramaticized into a huge event. Then in hindsight, it is always completely overexaggerated. Adults forget how we make everything so complicated just like they used to when they lived for the day.
ReplyDeleteI will never forget the drive I had to succeed.
ReplyDeleteI'll always remember this squirrel that apparently committed suicide over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget where I came from and how much God has brought me through things throughout my life in Colorado and Kentucky.
