10/30/2013-Comma practice.

Scholar Start^
Today we will be doing some more comma practice!  This is the work we did today! We will be working towards a better score on our COMMA TEST we will be taking FRIDAY.

A reminder, the next GSA workshop is on November 9th, and if you are interested in applying, I would HIGHLY recommend registering for one. They can be a terrific way for you to figure out what you need to do for your application/audition.  Remember, applications/portfolios/manuscripts are due in less than two months! So if you are interested, it is necessary that you start NOW.

Scholar Start: Coke or Pepsi? why?

We had 15 minutes of independent reading and then we responded to the following questions:

What is the title of the book you are reading? What are some things you are questioning about the book at this point? What are some inferences you have made about the book so far, and what evidence are you using to back that up?  What is the main conflict, and how has the author been developing over time?
