Things I'd like to read in class would be sports related. We haven't read any articles or anything sports related in this class yet. So I'd like to possibly read them. Also things that we as teenagers could relate to and comprehend better. Something with a little bit of mystery and suspense in it would be nice too. When talking about sports I'd like to read about LeBron James. I think we could all learn how great he is at what he does and how he gives back to the community.
In class we read things I like and others I don't. I would like it if we read about sports because I like sports and also stories in the future because it interest me on the perspective of the future.
I would like to read more mystery literature; things that we would have to try and figure out ourselves. I would also like to have more literature that we could understand/relate to more. Maybe more literature about animals; anything BUT sports.
I'd like to read more things from a teenagers point of view, so we can actually relate to it. I would also like to read some more scary stuff, like Edgar Allen Poe, because I like scary things. I'm more interested in modern things though. I don't exactly like the future stuff because it's all confusing to me.
I really like the Jabberwocky poem just because it relates to Alice in Wonderland. I like dark poems and ones that make you think about them even after you've read them.
I'd like to read more melancholy/sad pieces. I feel like these pieces are easier to analyze, more descriptive, and have a more interesting mood than other pieces.
I would like to read more things that are odd-ball and different. Examples being things like Alice in wonderland and the Jabberwocky. These just always have interested me in the way that they have a different outlook on how the world is actually seen. This is all I have left to say. Best regards- Easton Culver
I would like to read more literature on stuff that doesn't make any sense. JUst all kinds of poems or books that we dont understand so we can talk about how weird they are
The things i'd like to read more in class would be more exciting, like where you have to figure out whats going on. An example of this is 'The Leg of the Lamb", this story has interested me the most so far because you had to try and figure out what as going to happen.
I think adding more modern pieces is something that I would like to read. Things I'd like to read more in class is more literature the teenagers can relate to.
I'd like to read about more relevant topics, things we would find interesting. I would rather read about recent topics, such as events occurring in our country or state. Controversial issues and topics relating to subjects people our age find intriguing are more of what I enjoy.
I would like to read more romantic literature or mysterious literature. I don't really like literature that talks of the future because it confuses me. I think we should look at some pieces from Robert Frost because I enjoy his work.
I would like to read things that are more related to us. Although, I like the futuristic pieces we've been reading. I wouldn't want to read anything about sports, since those are usually boring and full of terminology that I don't know; it makes it a little harder to look for things like figurative language.
I am interested in almost all genres of books. I don't particularly care for the romance genres which I don't think you would use materials from that genre in class but just in case, I don't particularly care for those. I am basically open to all materials of reading for I believe (even if you don't care for the story) that it will open your eyes to new ideas and concepts that you may not have originally been exposed to allowing you to increase your knowledge and evolve your perception of the subject. That being said my favorite types of books or reading materials usually involve supernatural or mythology I find those extremely interesting.
I am interested in almost anything, as long as it is catchy, and kind of makes you wonder what is going to happen in a certain part of the book, like mystery. I like mystery because it gets you engaged in the reading and makes you want to know what will happen next there for you will keep reading it.
I would like to read more things related to sports because that is the only type of literature that interests me. I don't really like futuristic settings. I don't like historic settings either.
I would like to read more real life scenarios or things teenagers our age can relate better to and especially more sports literature because I would be more interested in these types of stories and I might be able to relate a lot better to them and understand better.
I would like to read more fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, comedy, etc. Anything along those lines sounds pretty great. I'm up for anything as long as it's interesting, though! Don't judge a book by its cover, ya know? Just because a book doesn't belong to a genre I like, doesn't mean it isn't a good book! I also really love poetry! Which makes me completely stoked for this next section. Some slam poetry? I think the class would like poetry more if they could see the passion behind some of today's poets!
I would like to read more about sports literature, also i would like to read more about real life scenarios because it would somewhat relate to us in some type of way. Also i would like to read more about mysterious literature because it would make you want to read more.
My favorite genre to read is science fiction. We have read several dystopian society works this year, but I would like to read something that is more recent and easier to comprehend when reading all at once. I like stories that don't need to be dissected piece by piece to be understood. I do not enjoy annotating every single thing because it makes the story harder to understand when you give the words ulterior meanings. I d not want to read poetry, but as Mr. Lopez would say, "It's life."
I would enjoy reading more sport things than anything else, because most other topics make me bored because i don't find it interesting at all unless it is sports related.
I find the types of literature we currently read in this class very interesting. Before this year, I never knew such mysterious stories existed about society and the future. I enjoy reading the types of pieces that are sort of mysterious and require thought to make sense. Poetry wise, RHYMING POEMS ARE DEFINITELY THE BEST. (Just, heads up.) There are some very good poems from non-famous authors of recent publishing. I think it would be interesting to read poems like this about current times and feelings. Otherwise, I will pretty much happily read whatever is given to me.
I'd like to read more literature related to teen life & horror, that's ironic lol. Yep, I like scary stuff like Edgar Allan Poe and mysteries. I don't like the confusing old literature we usually read. Robert Frost <<<<<<<
I'm more interested in real life scenarios and sports literature. I like books I can relate too. Although, I can find myself interested in almost any book.
I would like to read more things that are mysterious and/or realistic. Very old poetry written in old english is the worst! I would rather read recent poetry from well known poets of this century if that is possible.
I would definitely like to read things written by women (a feminist sort of thing- I'd like to see how that goes and what it's like), comedy, fantasy, or anything that's interesting, to be honest (but not really anything based on sports unless it's funny). I think I'm going to be okay with anything, really; I think poetry is great, and like Faith said, some slam poetry would be nice, too. :)
I would like to read more things in class that are horror related or make you wonder what will happen next. I like being scared and not knowing what will happen next so I guess I would like more mystery/horror fiction. I do not like non-fiction at all because it bores me and I find it hard to focus. I also do not wish to read more things like Jaberwocky unless I know the meanings of the words because it was really hard for me to understand the poem with all the weird words in it. I like poems that make me remember them. Today we watched a mood meter call "The Crazy Ones" by Steve Jobs and it was really inspirational. If there was a way to incorporate more poems and literature like this then I would really like it.
I really like the dystopian novels we've been reading pieces of. It gives me a different perspective of how reality works. I like the genres horror and mystery too. Even though John Green doesn't write poems he writes amazing books that would be awesome as a book for the whole class to read. However, as far as poetry goes I really like free verse poems that are kind of dark like what Ellen Hopkins writes. I think it'd be really cool to read some pieces from her books.
I would like to read more things related to sports. I love sports and they are interesting to me. I understand that some people don't like reading about sports or don't like sports at all so I would also like to read things that relate to teenage life as a whole. This will not force people to read things they don't like all of the time. I also think more literature written by women would be cool as well. We haven't read much of that in this class. I also like to read stuff that is not old style writing. I like having the power to understand whatever I am reading to my best ability.
I really like just about anything. I just don't like things that are incredibly confusing and you read them and your just like, "what did I even just read." I like things that keep me interested and wanting to know what happens but as far as genre I don't really have a particular preference.
I would like to read more about sports because sports are amazing, or maybe even comedy novels that way we can have a laugh every once in a while and it will catch everyones attention a lot more than the other stories have. Another thing we can maybe read about is non-fiction books that way it will catch our attention EVEN MORE because it's awesome knowing that the story is true, and not exactly made up.
Things I'd like to read more of in class are more literature that we, teenagers, can actually relate to.
