Bardstown should win because the atmosphere is kind and compatible with most people. Southern spirit is supposed to be kind and open. It's supposed to say, "Sit down and have some bourbon!" Considering we're the bourbon capital of the world, we fit perfectly!
Bardstown should win because it was the Most Beautiful Small Town In America last year. Nothing drastic has changed, so why can't Bardstown win again this year? I believe Bardstown is should win because it is a beautiful small town.
I think Bardstown should win because honestly, we have a really beautiful town. I know that there's not much to do, but we fit perfectly and we've had a lot of spirit during the past years!
Bardstown should win because we are very close knit and our community is very welcoming and inviting. We have a lot of history and our town is always clean. We are truly deserve to be named the best Southern town.
I think Bardstown is beautiful and all, but not all over. I can't relieve say anything bad about these other places though because I haven't been there.
I think Bardstown should win because Bardstown is the bourbon capital of the world! Without Bardstown, nobody would have bourbon and so many people just wouldn't be able to live without it. For example, my parents would die without bourbon because my step mom works at Jim Beam and they only drink bourbon.
Bardstown should win because we are the bourbon capital of the world, also our atmosphere is kind and we are so compatible with other people around us. But some people don't always want to be compatible to others.
Bardstown should definitely win Best Southern Town! It was voted one of the most beautiful small towns in America. Bardstown is the bourbon capital of the world and includes many other great things! It is an amazing place for tourists and it is very pretty! It has the most welcoming feeling and the people are absolutely amazing!!! We give off the real southern feel even if people disagree that we are a southern town. Bardstown is a great place to live or to visit and it is by far, the best southern town!
Bardstown should win because it is such a beautiful town and you can see how well it's been taken care of! Whatever you need, you can find here, and everyone is so nice. The landscape has so any beautiful hues and shades, and there really is no other competition!
Bardstown should win just point blank! We are the sweetest little town. Our town is just a wonderful tiny town, with wonderful people that have our southern twang, and amazing tourist attractions. Almost everyone is very friendly and will greet you with a smile. I love Bardstown even though it is rather small I still love it.
Personally I think Bardstown should win. We really emphasize that "southern hospitality". We've already claimed "Most Beautiful Small Town in America" so why shouldn't we be best small town? I've lived here my entire life and even through all my travels, I've never seen a small town better than Bardstown.
If I'm being honest not really sure bardstown should win even though it be cool if they did. In my opinion Asheville North Carolina is where it's at or really just some small place in North Carolina but who knows Bardstown might take it.
Bardstown should win best southern town because it is such a beautiful town. We take it for granted like people who live on the beach dont like going on vacation to other beaches. We don't see the beauty as much as tourists.
The buildings stand tall, radiating historical elegance. The windows gleam and the baubles behind them sparkle and shine. The horses in the stables click their hooves against the pavement, adding to the magical noises of the atmosphere. Smells waft from the restaurants that line the streets, making tourist's mouths water. Eyes bug as people walk past all the stores and see the opportunities for souvenirs.
I think Bardstown should win because we're a really clean place and the people are nice and friendly. There's not really any crime or anything and everyone greets everyone with a smile.
I'm going to say that Bardstown should win just because I live here and I think that would be cool. Then again, I've never been to any of these other places and they may just be great. They might really deserve to win and I just don't know. For now though, we'll just stick with voting for us because I like winning things.
Honestly I think Bardstown deserves to win "Best Southern Town". Bardstown is extremely beautiful and is full of loving and compassionate people. Almost everyone you meet in Bardstown will welcome you with open arms and warm smile. The thing I love most about Bardstown is the idea of it being a family. Bardstown really comes together and everyone cares for one another in times of trouble. It is a very welcoming community. The landscape is also stunning. The appearance is very clean and green; both aspects that contribute to why Bardstown should be voted "Best Southern Town".
I do not think Bardstown should win for many reasons. We are not the best southern small town in America. Even though I live here we dont need to win. Plus the city is only cool in downtown with all of the little shops.
I think Bardstown should definitely win because that would be awesome. I think we are the best southern city in America so I think we should win. But honestly, if we didn't win I wouldn't really care either.
Honestly, I think that Savannah, Georgia should win. I go to Savannah a lot, and it's one of my favorite cities. It's really scenic and there's a lot to do there. There's a lot of unique shops and a ton of street performers. I think it actually looks like an old southern town and it deserves to be voted the best southern town.
Well the answer is completely simple, Bardstown is the best town there possibly is. Then if you add in the "Southern" part to the rule, then Bardstown wins it hand down. So what if Google still thinks its a misspelled word and wants to change it, its still a great little town to be a part of, and that's because of its great atmosphere and community.
I believe that Bardstown should be voted the "Best Southern Town." After all we already have been named the Most Beautiful Small Town in America. Through Main Street and around the courthouse is very historic. Old architecture and other places make it unique. Such as the Talbot Tavern and the old jailhouse. All of the Main Street shops are a sight for tourists as well. Behind all the visual aspects, Bardstown is a very caring community where everyone comes together. For example, when Officer Ellis was KOD the whole community came together to honor him. Our community is one of the most caring in this whole entire world in my opinion.
Bardstown should win because we are the Most Beautiful Small Town in America. They will now be the Best Southern City in America because Bardstown is a nice town. It has received a lot of work so it looks better then before. Also downtown Bardstown is good because the sidewalks and everything has been edited and looks good for an old downtown. Most other downtown don't look as good as ours because some can be run down, but ours is a good town to be called Best Southern City in America.
Bardstown should win because we are a well rounded community that tries to keep our town looking as good as the people in it. I know some of the city council people and not only would they be ecstatic to win, but as should the rest of the town. It would be a great honor to win yet another title for this small town.We have kept our town tourist friendly and historic for many years now and it would be nice to see all of the older generations' hard work pay off.
Bardstown should win because we were already named "most beautiful small town in america" and its an overall great community. the city is beautiful and it is filled with good people.
I think Bardstown should win "Best Southern Town" because this is my home town. I grew up here, of course I would think it's beautiful. After being crowned for the most beautiful small town in America, why shouldn't we win for most beautiful? If we win, Bardstown can have a sense of pride that we are the best southern town. It could bring more people to our town and could have many positive effects on us also.
Bardstown should win the Best Southern City in America because of the way our community is. Everybody supports each other and the town really comes together for the good and the bad that we experience throughout the years. We are just a close town.
I think Bardstown deserves to win the "Best Southern Town," mostly because it is the only town I have visited in the poll and it is my hometown. But also, because Bardstown truly is a great town and full of loving people and many great tourist attractions. I couldn't pick a better hometown!
Bardstown has won "Most Beautiful Small town in America" but should it win most southern? We don't even have a fried chicken place anymore except for Lee's. Most people that live in Bardstown aren't country either; they act like city people. To be southern you have to love sweet tea, fried chicken, getting dirty outside in the mud and somewhat have a country accent. Some people have these qualities but most of the people in Bardstown are NOT country. Bardstown is a nice place but I don't think it is very southern.
I think Bardstown should win "Best Southern Town" because we have amazing people who care about our community as well as the beauty of our small town. I mean we already won most beautiful small town in America so it be icing on the cake to receive this award that would look at our community of people as well. I have experience the kindness of these people through the projects I have been doing with the class I'm in: Leadership Dynamics. Also we are very welcome to everyone and anyone. If you come here you'll receive a warm smile. I think we should win based solely on the goodness of our people and the beauty of our town.
I do not think that Bardstown should win. It is no where near as cool as some of the other towns that i have been to. It is only cool by the old court house where there are old restaurants and things like that.
I think Bardstown should win "Best Southern Town". I am picking this because I live here and I don't know the rest of the places, but not only this but Bardstown has already won the "Most Beautiful Small Town in America" so we should have a little advantage. Bardstown is a great place to live and grow up in. Bardstown is a community who welcomes people. Bardstowns should be considered "Best Southern Town".
Bardstown should win because it reminds of Athens GA and Athens Ga is beautiful like Bardstown. But the big reason why Bardstown reminds me of Athens Ga is because I am from Georgia, I have family living in Athens, and well Bardstown is the closest town I can get that reminds me of Athens. That is why Bardstown should win.
I think Bardstown should win the "Best southern town title because Bardstown is an amazing place. There are tons of friendly people to greet you everywhere, there are beautiful outdoor scenery throughout the community, and there are tons of other small details that makes Bardstown an awesome southern town!
I think that Bardstown should get this award because, unlike most older small towns I've seen, it's not falling apart in a giant pile of historical poo. Bardstown is equally historical, well taken care of, and very adapted to the modern world. It has a very charming feel to it and the people here are always friendly, they'll wave to you on the street, and some might even stop to chat with you. Yes compared to most other small towns I would say that Bardstown is the "Best Southern Town."
I believe that Bardstown should win because it'd be pretty cool to have won the ¨Best Small Town in America;¨ twice. I also believe that Bardstown should win because I live there! The reason why Bardstown should deserves to win is because as a community, we're all here for one-another and care for everybody, even if we don't know them. Also, Bardstown itself is full of rich history! You have the Talbott Tavern, Jailers Inn and not to mention, My Old Kentucky Home where Stephen Foster lived!
I think that Bardstown deserves to win this contest. I really like walking downtown in the summer and I think everyone should know how beautiful it really is. Bardstown is full of many attractions such as bed and breakfasts', The Stephen Foster Story, My Old Kentucky Home, Wickland Mansion, the Dinner Train, and many more. What I really love about Bardstown is the pride that the citizens take in their community.
I honestly think that Bardstown shouldn't win, it's a nice town and all but it isn't the best. It would be nice if we won but it doesn't really matter if we lose either.
I think Bardstown should win "Best Southern Town" because if we're the "Most Beautiful Small Town In America" we deserve to be the "Best Southern Town" also. The people here are so nice and express more southern hospitality than any other small town that I've been too. It's so pretty and vintage like a small town should be. The buildings in Bardstown are unique along with our tourists sites such as My Old Kentucky Home. Therefore, Bardstown deserves this more than any other town.

Bardstown should not win the "best Southern town" award because there is nothing unique here other than Bourbon and that is not something that should be celebrated. This town is boring beyond belief and should be treated like any other town.

ReplyDeleteBardstown is great, but it has some major problems. We should win only after we fix those.
