In the shell hole.

  1. I would pick smart. Simply because most people will probably pick swag, and then I will be one of the smartest people in the world, I will then invent something and become rich and famous. Since I will be rich I can buy all the things that will make me have swag and then I will have the best of both worlds.

  2. Well, if I pick swag, then I have a guaranteed job at McDonald's when I graduate and that is really hard to turn down. But, if I choose smart, then I could be a doctor and I would make a lot of money. If I make a lot of money then I will buy a nice house. If I buy a nice house, then I will buy nice things. If I buy nice things, people will notice. When people notice, I will be robbed by a homicidal maniac at 2 in the morning. I don't want to be robbed by a homicidal maniac at 2 in the morning. Swag.

    1. This reminds me of a Direct TV commercial.

  3. I would choose to be smart instead of having swag. being smart goes a long way. having swag doesn't. being smart gets you college degree, and a good job. it gets people to want to work with you or for you, want to be able to talk to you, because they know that you know what you're talking about. they know that you're not just worried about your looks. you can't just walk to up to a college and expect them to accept you just because you look good. you have to be smart. you have to have good grades and be a good student. you can't be someone who is conceited and all they are worried about is how good they look.

  4. I would choose smart. You can't live off of swag, smarts are a must to make it in the world. To get a job, you have to be professional and have common sense; swag does not include those things. Of course, you could work at McDonalds with swag, but then you probably wouldn't make enough to really live the way someone with swag would want to. Smarts is the better option of the two.

  5. I would pick smart. I figured that everyone will be picking swag because it is "cooler" than being smart. But if your smart, then you would have a really good chance of being successful in your life and you could possibly invent things and be able to do things that most people wouldn't be able to do.

  6. I would pick smart because swag is not going to pay the bills 20 years from now swag will get you killed 20 years from now. Being smart means I will make lots of money and I can leave the United States for good.

  7. I pick smart because smart people make money for days and have awesome jobs and nice houses and nice cars and people with swag will be stuck at McDonalds serving me breakfast and barley getting by on minimum wage

  8. If I had to choose between smart and swag, I would choose smart. I would choose smart because if you are smart you will have endless opportunities in your future. You could be whatever you wanted to be whenever you got older. You would also make a lot of money, and then you can buy whatever you want and you would live the life you see on movies and everywhere else. By choosing smart, you are basically choosing your whole future.

  9. I would pick swag, but I think I'm going to have to go with smart on this question. More than likely having 'swag' is not going to make you have a successful career. Most of the time people that claim to have 'swag' don't even act all that great! By being smart, you will have a greater opportunity to go to college and make something out of yourself. Can 'swag' get you into a good college? I don't think so!

  10. I would choose smart. Being smart opens up more door and chances to be successful. If I were to pick swag where would that get me in life, no where. While smart would ge me a degree and a future. So smart over rulesswag because swag gets you nothing while smart brings a future with promise.

  11. I pick smart because it can take you further in life. Swag means that you care what others think about you and your appearance and i don't. Being smart can get you places you wanna go or do.

  12. Swag is very tempting to choose because I could walk around with swag constantly. But I would not choose swag. Being smart gets you a solid job, great money investments, a loving family and overall a great life, if you know how to be smart. I would take smart over swag anyday.

  13. Definitely smart because the smart ones will go far in life. To me, anyone who is smart will get a successful job and that is swag.

  14. while as good as "swag" can be you can't let you life rely on it. I would personally choose smartness over swag because when your smart you can become a successful person who knows what they are doing. Also if a person was really smart they would know how to have swag and be smart at the same time. If you are smart you will do good in school and the ACT plus you could end up getting a full scholarship to college. Swag can't pay for college. When someone is smart they will also know how to run there life and how to maintain both your social life and academic life. The choice of smart can get you far in life and help you achieve your dreams.

  15. I would pick smart for one simple reason. SWAG secretly we are gay

  16. I'd pick smart because having a future sounds pretty great. Intelligence, however, can only take you so far. The people skills you gain from swag can be invaluable in many situations, and can advance you much farther in society, from an interactional standpoint. And yet knowledge provides opportunities swag never could, such as a stable job, meaningful and long-lasting relationships, and the basic ability to function in modern-day America. So, as always, smart will prevail over swag.

  17. I would pick smart because you don't become successful by being cool (typically). Learning is a key part in the lives of everyone and to retain more knowledge is to have a greater ability to succeed based on what you know. "Swag" would make you be "cool" but does it matter if you're cool if you are homeless because you dropped out of high school or college. Being smart is part of my identity more so than having "Swag" because to be learning something new is invaluable. You are taking something that someone tells you and are applying it to your life which also shows them that you value what they took the time to tell you. Knowledge is also a key thing to have in life if we didn't continue to learn and grow smarter then we wouldn't have the technology we have and we wouldn't be able to keep evolving our world into a more advanced world.

  18. I would pick the smart side. In the world today swag seems to be more popular. Swag doesn't really get anyone anywhere in life. Being smart though will get you anywhere you want to go as long as you push yourself to doing it. Getting a high education, meaning that you are smarter, can get you jobs with high incomes. More money means an easier life. My mom dropped out of high school when she was a junior. I've heard that one of the reasons was because of me but there were also other problems. Today my mom struggles with life. It's hard for her to find a good job that will take her even though she doesn't have her diploma. Right now she is dating a guy with 3 kids. We live in this huge house and it cost us about $1,000 every month. Food is a problem too because his family loves to eat; we spend about $200 on food every week. My mom is struggling a lot right now. I don't know for sure what I want to do later in life but I know I don't want to end up like my mom. I love her but don't want to be struggling in life. I want to be smart so that I can survive life without having to struggle.

  19. This is a hard question because if I choose smart I will most likely be very successful and make loads of money. However if i chose swag I could just become famous through Vine and I could even arrange a deal with clothing stores where I get clothes for free and I get to wear expensive clothes all the time. When it comes down to it though I would pick swag. I'm pretty smart already so school doesn't really provide a good challenge for me which makes me extremely bored. I want more of a challenge and free clothes. The best part of it though is that I could crack the amazing joke "who needs oxygen when you have all this swag?" as i'm laying on my death bed in a hospital hooked up to a respirator. It would be great.

  20. I would choose being smart over having swag because technically, swag is the stuff companies give you to promote themselves. Of course having a bunch of cool pens and other various useless items would be nice and vaguely entertaining for a while; but why have a bunch of swag when you can be smart, make your own company and create your own swag and share it with others?

    ReplyDelete
  21. The side I would pick would be smart. Why? Because I care about my education far more than my "swag." An education is my top priority simply because I need an education in order to have my dream job. I could acquire my "swag" later on in life.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I WOULD CHOOSE BOTH! Wait, what? Yes, I said both. And this in fact does exist. One word. Hipsters. Hipsters definitely have swag with there hipster glasses, rolled up jeans with a pair of oxfords on their feet. Hipsters look smart and swagalicious at the same time. Tah Dah. In this way you can have swag and be considered smart.

  23. I would pick smart because being smart is the new 'swag.' Being an intelligent person makes a person well rounded. Having swag is not going to make you a well rounded successful individual. I guess this question is a matter of opinion of what you value most; attention or success. I value success over attention. If you become successful you will get attention, hence having swag also. Being smart is the logical choice.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would choose to be smart because then I would be smart enough to not care about swag.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I would pick smart instead of swag. Swag is the promotional stuff that companies give when they want you to buy their product, now swag has a new meaning... It is having this ridiculous style, being incompetent, and lack of intelligence.. But, being smart can open new doors and become successful instead of having a low end job.

  26. I would choose smart because of the success it would allow me to gain. Even though swag would provide great interpersonal skills, smart would allow me to make the correct decisions to make the most money. With smart, I would be able to support my friends and family. With swag, I would not be able to.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would choose smart, because anyone can have swag. To be smart, you are lucky and have a good quality. Being smart will take you far in life, bringing success. Swag will not give you a good career and paycheck. Swag is overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would choose Smart because I don't have swag in the first place, also I would choose smart because the smarter you are the better you are going to be in the long run, swag will not get you a job.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I definitely choose smart. I don't even feel like I should have to explain myself with this one. The main reason is pretty obvious. Do I seriously look like someone who could even begin to pull off "swag"? Exactly. Secondly, I like work! I like books! I like watching documentaries about historical events on the weekends! I like sleeping in and getting on Tumblr instead of partying! I just like being smart in general! I like being a "goody two shoes" or whatever. Quite frankly, it's treated me very well!

  30. I would of course choose smart. Being intelligent is way more important than having swag. You will succeed way more in life if you are smart over just having swag for a short time. Being smart lasts a lifetime, swag could disappear in a day or just change overtime. And also I could invent things and make all kinds of money. Then when all the people that had chose swag will not be able to afford anything and I can buy all the things that would make me have swag.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I clearly would pick "smart" over "swag". Swag will not pay the bills and working at McDonald's also will not. An education is very important and I would pick that anyday over "swag". Being smart gives you swag. You have the ability to do many things. Being smart makes you able to detect swag and get away from excessive swag which might bring you down. Smart and swag both begin with "s".

  32. In wondering the full definition of swag, I phoned my good friend Google. With the simple key stroke of the word swag, Google informed me of this:
    Swag
    noun
    1.
a curtain or piece of fabric fastened so as to hang in a drooping curve.
    "swags of holly and mistletoe"
a carved or painted representation of a swag of flowers, foliage, or fruit.
    "fine plaster swags"
    2.
    informal
money or goods taken by a thief or burglar.
"their homes offer tempting swag for burglars"

Most definitely, I do not want to be a drooping piece of fabric. I also really don't want to be taken by a burglar. So I guess that leaves me with one choice: Smart.

  33. I'd choose whichever one that would get me the furthest to my goal depending on the situation. Some situations you need smart some swag some both in a way they kinda need each other.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Smart. I would definitely pick the smart side. If you're smart you can have swag. If you're swag, you may not be as smart. Smarts will get you a lot further in life than having swag. Being smart will lead to better opportunities in a lifetime. Smarts mean more than swag. With smarts you can do everything. With swag, you can only be cool.

    ReplyDelete
  35. smart. theres no persuasion needed. just gotta get with it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would pick to be smart because in most cases, having swag wont pay the bills. Swag is one of those words that can mean something different to every one. I think it's pretty swaggy to know things. Swag is confidence and having confidence in your intelligence is the best of all.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I choose smart because "swag" is just some dumb thing people made up to make themselves seem cool. Being smart is better and can get you to more places in than life. You can get a better job and live a good life and with swag, you just think you have a good life and you won't get far in life.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I would choose smart that way I won't be as stressed out on tests or quizzes, or even just school. Being smart can take you lots of places, and you can have a HUGE future, as of getting into the best colleges, and you can have a lot of people wanting to follow in your footsteps! I care about having a good education...swag doesn't matter. You can be a leader, and be a role model to many people around you and in your life.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would choose smart because if you're smart enough and you want swag, you could get swag because youŕe smart. Also I would rather want to be smart because you can do a lot more things in life with intelligence rather than swag.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Smart or Swag? In what way are you talking about? In me? I dont have swag so I guess that leaves me as smart. I don't consider girls to be swaggy. I would also pick to be smart over swag because I can get into college with smarts but not swag. If you think about it if you are smart then you can be smart and have swag. But if you are talking about guys, I would choose swag over smart because if you think about it guys aren't smart. Even if they are good in school they are not smart.

    ReplyDelete
  41. First of all "swag" means Secretly We Are Gay, so if you want to be in that club that's cool I guess. Being smart isn't based on your GPA there are different types of "smart." I'd rather be street smart than anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I would pick smart because I feel like just being smart will get you farther in life than just swag. Being smart would be more of you relying on what you know and swag is relying on what other people think about and I'd rather rely on me than others.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would choose smart or swag anyday. In the long run, swag isn't going to matter whatsoever. Being intelligent will help us for many years to come. With intelligence you will have a much bigger chance of achieving your goals in life. Swag will not help your future in any way; intelligence is a big part of your life/necessities.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Smarts swag is just stupid to me. Let me see swag get you into college.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Smart: leading to a good Gpa, go to college, get my dream job, make a lot of money buy a bunch of stuff and live a good life B) And own everything that i want.

    ReplyDelete
  46. swag! all da way. i mena smarts fine but if everyone is smarts that ordinary and thats fine but swag is just way better. everyone would be different

    ReplyDelete
  47. My choice would definitely be smarts. Theres not even a question. You can get so much farther in life with intelligence. I don't have swag now so why would I want it? I've gotten this far without it. Smarts over swag forever.

    ReplyDelete
  48. swag has no real definition, and being smart is always a plus so smart by a mile. Well my coach once said to have swag while going up to bat.. he thinks it means to have confidence so I don't know but still smart.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Considering "swag" is different to every person, and knowledge is the same all around, I would choose to be smart. Swag can't get you a degree and a well paying job. I don't really understand the whole swag thing in the first place. If I let my pants hang down around my knees do I have swag? If I have a snapback do I have swag? Being smart can include many categories. Street smart, book smart, worldly smart... (is that a thing?) I would rather be able to go on Jeopardy and get all of the questions right than walk through Walmart trying not to trip on my own pants. So... in conclusion, I would choose smart over swag.

    ReplyDelete
  50. smart because even the word "swag" is repulsive. Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family.
