  1. I want to take AP English because I would like a challenge and I would like to become a better reader and actually be forced to read books next year.

  2. I want to take AP English for I believe it will give me a challenge. Not to mention the topic of non-fiction is very interesting. I love reading things that go on in current events and such and learning things that are actually factual seems very very interesting. I think it will be a great class to explore.

  3. The reason I want to take AP english next year is because I want a slight challenge for me and my awesome brain. Grant it, it may not even come close to touching my awesomeness seeing as how nothing will be hard for me to complete. It would be like playing a kindergarten educational video game on the level of "little bunny eating berries" difficulty. So nothing will be difficult for me at all, "As mother always said 'Don't lose"

  4. I don't think I signed up for AP English. I can't really remember what I signed up for anymore. I don't think I did though. I love reading and read a lot but I'm not really a non-fiction reader. By the way this class seems there is a lot of that kind of reading. AP classes kind of make me scared. I think I can do the work but sometimes I don't have the time to do it. My family moves around a lot and at my mom's house I don't have time because over the summer, and on most weekends, I have to babysit about 5-6 kids. I constantly have to watch them and don't have time to do anything. My mom doesn't have internet either so I wouldn't have anyway to do my essays. I just don't know what to do anymore.

  6. I want a challenge; English has always been an easy subject to me. The hardest thing to me will probably be that a lot of the work seems to be independent, as in we have to figure out exactly how to do it. Of course, college will probably be like that, but I'm ready for this challenge.

  7. I want to take AP English because it could greatly help my GPA and it could give me college credit which I would love. I think the hardest part would be the book reports and talks but I love to read so it shouldn't be a problem.

  12. I'm wanting to take AP English year because it will be a challenge to how much I can accomplish. At the same time I feel that this might be too much for me as of right now because of everything I do during the school week. That is part of the challenge though, to do more than I'm already doing, and I think I'm prepared for it.

  16. I would like to take AP English next year because English and Reading are my best subjects. The hard thing about my choice is I'm not going to be going to TNHS next year. I'm not sure of the curriculum for John Hardin, but i'm prepared to take as many AP classes I possibly can. Also, I'm hoping I will be officially over my mono by then. This year has been frustrating because I was sick for the longest and now I have relapses.. Maybe it'll be better by next year.. Especially considering i'm going to be an upperclassman.

  17. I am taking AP English next year because I feel the pace will challenge me more and allow me to grow at a pace much faster then what was given before. As well it will further my knowledge and allow me to be more open to the different genres of books particularly the nonfiction section.

  18. I'm wanting to take AP English next year because I love writing and reading. I'm actually very excited about the summer readings she has assigned us. I really want to read the books. If I really can't decide, then I'll just read all the books. I think I'm going to stick with the Whodunnit? True Crime and Society theme. I'm actually excited about this class. (Don't judge me, fools. I'm a nerd, but I'm an AWESOME nerd. Get over it.)

I've always just kind of done it during class and every things worked out this far in life. I mean look at me. I'm almost a Junior in High school.

  26. I read seven books over the summer, so I don't really think the summer reading will bother me. About the writing? Ehhhhhhhh. That'll be the part that gets me but I'm going to do it, yo. I've got to.

  27. I definitely want to take AP classes next year! I like having classes that challenge me. When I took AP Human Geography freshman year I really loved it! I can't wait to take them next year! I feel like it better prepares me for college, and it makes my regular classes seem a lot easier. I learn to appreciate the other classes, as well as the challenge from my AP classes

  28. I want to take AP English because I want to challenge myself. The most hardest challenge that I might face while being in the class would be the reading considering I haven't that much since my nursing classes. I like reading once I get into it though. I honestly think that I can do the class because I am not going to give it.

  29. I want to take AP because I really enjoy reading and writing and feel like its one of my strongest subjects. I don't mind having to do homework over the summer either since I usually just read the whole time anyways.

  30. I want to take AP English because I haven't taken any AP classes throughout my high school career and I think I can handle the challenge! I haven't really learned much from my English teachers throughout my life and I'm hoping that next year will change that! I'm hoping that it'll expand my knowledge and make my GPA even higher than it is now... :)

  31. I want to take AP because I love to write and read and I think it will prepare me better for college English classes. I don't really want to read and write over the summer but I think it will be alright and shouldn't take a terribly large amount of time. I want to do it because I want to challenge myself next year. I understand that it will be a lot of work and I am expecting that.

  32. I've taken every available advanced class thus far. I'm a decent writer and because of past AP classes I believe I could handle the work load. I already read quite a bit of the summer so the reading list shouldn't be an issue. Well, unless I procrastinate and in all honesty, there's a pretty good chance I will. I never procrastinate too seriously though, I always get my work done. I'm determined to take this class. Maybe that will be enough to motivate me. I hope so.

  35. I absolutely HATE reading with a passion. I am a slow reader and constantly get off topic while I read. I can never focus when I read i just flat out hate it. I need to take AP because I know I have the ability to do it and i want to push myself. I am going to get over my hatred towards reading and I am just going to do it.

  37. I am wanting to take AP English next year because I like being challenged. I want to have to try and do stuff. I want to have to put in effort. I also want to have the opportunity to gain college credit. AP courses are rigorous and look good on your transcript. I am up for the challenge and ready to take it on! The hardest thing about this will be doing the work. I am not really used to having a lot of homework. In example, I have never had summer work.

  40. I do not want to take AP English, because I'm sure it involves a lot more work and reading. I can't exactly read as much because I have trouble focusing, and I just don't have a feeling I would have time for other assignments.
